Tuna Melt With Minerva Tuna Paired Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 cans of Minerva Tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of your favourite bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Butter for spreading
- Optional: Sliced tomatoes, avocado, or jalapeños for toppings
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine Minerva Tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, red onion, celery, and pickles. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. While it’s heating, butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet. Spoon half of the tuna mixture onto each slice.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tuna mixture on each slice. If desired, add tomato slices, avocado, or jalapeños.
- Top each with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side until it’s golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and slice in half. Serve your Minerva Tuna Melt hot and enjoy the gooey, savoury goodness!
