The Alioli we stock here at Victus Emporium is crafted using a traditional Mediterranean recipe that prioritises freshness. We use fresh Spanish garlic that is picked and transported rapidly to production to reduce oxidation. This results in a much more intense, natural garlic flavour and a creamy texture that balances sunflower oil and extra virgin olive oil, rather than the heavy vinegar based flavours found in mass produced versions.
We focus on premium Spanish oils known for their purity and flavour profiles. Our current selection includes:
- Millas Extra Virgin Olive Oil: A versatile, high quality pantry staple.
- Oli de Pau: A world class oil from the Empordà region of Spain, often praised for its balanced fruitiness and peppery finish, perfect for drizzling over bread or salads.
Yes! We stock an authentic Patata Bravas Sauce as well as a Spicy Tomato Sauce specifically designed for this classic tapas dish. For the best experience, we recommend drizzling the spicy tomato sauce over fried potatoes and adding a dollop of our Alioli on top for the traditional two sauce Bravas presentation.
- Olive Oils: These should be stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent the oil from going bad.
- Sauces & Dips: Our sauces like Alioli and Bravas sauce should be kept in the fridge once opened. Because they use high quality ingredients with fewer artificial preservatives than standard brands, we recommend consuming them within the timeframe indicated on the label (Usually within 7–10 days of opening).
Absolutely. While they are excellent as dips, our Spicy Tomato Sauce and Alioli make fantastic marinades. The Alioli is particularly good for coating white fish or chicken before roasting, as the oil and garlic create a flavourful crust that keeps the meat moist.
